Why does the NightOwl Companion app require location permissions from me?
In order for your smartphone to be able to scan for bluetooth devices such as the NightOwl Sensor in your surroundings, the smartphone requires you to provide the NightOwl Companion app with location permissions.
This is due to how bluetooth devices can be used to determine your location, such as through the use of 'bluetooth beacons'.
